Freight Shipping Policy


Oversized items, such as sofa sectionals, sofa sets and home theater seats, are shipped through freight companies. Most freight shipments take 5 to 14 business days to deliver after they leave our warehouse, if there are no exceptional situations. Shipping time frame varies by size and weight of the item and destination distance. It may take longer than 14 business days to ship to remote or rural areas.

The freight companies ship to 48 contiguous states only. Their regular work time is Monday through Friday. For some regions, weekend deliveries might be available with extra charges. For some rural routes that are hardly reachable by trucks, extra charge applies for delivery. We are not able to ship P. O. Box or APO/FPO addresses.


Delivery Process

After we receive a freight order, it takes 4-8 business days to process the order and prepare for the shipment. It may take longer, for oversized items such as sofa sectionals and home theater seating orders. Please be patient with this process, as we need to register your shipment with the freight company and our warehouse needs to pack your items properly to protect them during the transit. After the order is picked up by the freight company, we will email you tracking information.

When the shipment is in your area, the freight company will call you to set up a delivery appointment. Please provide us the best day-time phone number to reach you to avoid storage charges (please refer to Other Extra Charges listed below for more details). As the freight company delivers multiple orders on each day, they are only able to decide on a specific date but not able to narrow down the time window. If you need delivery within a special time frame, please refer to the Time Stop upgrade service listed below.

Please inspect your item upon delivery in presence of the delivery team, at least in general. The driver is not required to wait for you to unpack everything for a full inspection, unless there is noticeable damage on the outside packaging. Please note on the bill of lading for anything you notice that is unusual, and keep a copy of the paperwork. Contact our customer service right away if assistance is needed.

In case of damage in transit, return and replacement are only eligible when proper notations are made to the Bill of Lading. Please keep your original packaging for 30 days, and the item will need to be wrapped and packaged properly in case of replacements. All damage claims sent to our returns and replacement departments must be accompanied by a picture of the damage.

Standard freight shipment delivers to curbside. All freight items on our website are shipped to curbside only by default, unless otherwise noted. All our promotional shipping rates cover curbside delivery only. If you are interested in any upgrade, please check the following session.


Upgrade Service

Not every freight company offers all the following upgrade services. Please check with our customer service if the desired service is not offered on the product web page you are looking at.

Inside Delivery: This service covers inside placement of your shipment up to two flights of stairs. NOT including any unpacking, assembly or debris removal. There is $50 charge for any extra flight of stairs.

White Glove Delivery: This service covers inside placement of your shipment up to two flights of stairs, unpacking the items, and up to 15 minutes assembly without tools.

White Glove Plus Delivery: This service covers inside placement of your shipment up to two flights of stairs, unpacking the items, debris removal, and up to 30 minutes assembly.

Time Stop: If you request a delivery during a specific time window, there will be extra charges, which usually range from $100 - $200.

If your delivery requires any type of additional labor/service, extra charges will apply. Not all carriers deliver to basements. Please contact us for basement deliveries.


Other Extra Charges

Storage Fee: If the freight company is not able to reach the recipient within 72 hours after their first phone call, or if the freight company has to hold the item, the recipient will be subject to storage fee. The charge may differ area by area, and most of the time it is $10 per day.

Redelivery Charge: Redelivery charge applies when the first appointed delivery attempt is not successful, for reasons such as absence of the recipient. If the freight company will need to make another delivery attempt, there will be a redelivery charge that is usually within the range of $50 - $100.

Special Delivery Charge: For some rural routes that are hardly reachable by trucks, extra charge applies for delivery. Exact amount of the charge varies and our customer service will contact you as soon as requested by the carrier.

Accessorial Charge:Accessorial charge applies to remote and special areas, varying from $100 - $200. Please contact us prior to the purchase for details. Our customer service will also contact you for the accessorial charges once requested by the carrier.
